Tennis

Parametric lines indicate the in and out of a tennis court.
Though the ball is on a racquet's face for a few hundreds
of milliseconds, the other 99% of the time it is in transit.
The seeming quantum randomness of a ball's flight
to a beginner is the bread and butter of a pro's career.

I take the ball. Finding its way into my palm, thrust is
applied—carefully done without an ounce of spin.

Complexity in multiple variables—gravity, air resistance,
timecurving fabrics and strings of the universe ever
so slightly. The electron cloud transfer of cellular
respiration obeying quantum logic.

Breathe.

Subsume the ball.
