we must not be afraid of ourselves. we must not be afraid of the things we can accomplish. for it is truly self-doubt that distinguishes the human race. our capacity to be imperfect—our capacity to be and appear weak in front of others. you think you’re alone. you think no one understands what you’re going through. maybe I’m deluded and don’t know what the heck I’m talking about. hopefully we’d someday be able to talk, you and i. and perhaps we’d share our fears and insecurities and failures and shortcomings and we’d cry about it. maybe not.
