Sincerity

But the truth is we've been worthwhile all along. We've been free, but our souls have been put in their places too many times; we started believing we needed to be different. I bought into this: that I was not worthwhile to spend time with. But it's true: the individual is not inherently lonely.


'Lonely' is something we've projected upon ourselves for the majority of our lives; we've always occupied the brain cells of others in their memories of us. 


Loneliness and alienation—these are words that separate us. 


The truth is there is a reality that we experience and there is a reality that we share. 


The first reality emphasizes the primacy of the individual; the second emphasizes the primacy of humanity. 


We are not all broken inside. 


We have the capacity to love, to heal, and to soothe our own souls. 


Through this self-empathy, self-identification, and inward-soul-searching, we can learn to love one another. 


In order to love others, it is important to first love ourselves.


Let us not torture ourselves with justification, negativity, or self-neglect. Let us nurture.


Let us be who we are inside. Because who we are inside is beautiful and it becomes even more beautiful when we share it with others. 


This is my coda: something I repeat to myself every day. 


This is my belief: that we can become greater, stronger, and more sincere each and every single day.
